Singin’ In The Rain
I walked outside this morning and, much to my dismay, rain was falling. Blue sky would have been nice instead. But it cheered me up considerably when I listened to this colorful North American Robin singing gaily, despite the rain. Now I can get on with my day. I feel better.

The Forest Maiden

This American Kestrel
All spring we’ve been studying each other, this American Kestrel and I, but she remains aloof and wary, even though I’m able to imitate her calls quite well.
Forest Encounter
In a part of the forest where human beings are a rare occurrence, this busy squirrel paused briefly to give me a once over and then scampered away, to endeavors more interesting I suppose.
Near Miss
When I can’t find anything better to do I sit outside and watch the skies. Occasionally I see something interesting.
Sunrise 4-30-12
Sometimes, when I might be feeling a little discouraged, it does me good to go out on the deck and watch the sun rise. And listen to the birds as they greet a new day.
