Spring Dreams
It’s what we dream of in the lateness of every winter. Blue sky and longer days. Birds singing. Warming sunshine and new life. Spring.
This American Kestrel
All spring we’ve been studying each other, this American Kestrel and I, but she remains aloof and wary, even though I’m able to imitate her calls quite well.
Forest Encounter
In a part of the forest where human beings are a rare occurrence, this busy squirrel paused briefly to give me a once over and then scampered away, to endeavors more interesting I suppose.
Near Miss
When I can’t find anything better to do I sit outside and watch the skies. Occasionally I see something interesting.
Sunrise 4-30-12
Sometimes, when I might be feeling a little discouraged, it does me good to go out on the deck and watch the sun rise. And listen to the birds as they greet a new day.
